TM	It was called classical method, earlier in this century this method was used to helping students rend and appreciate foreign language literature.	Student are taught to translate from one language to another.	Be able to read literature written in the target language.
AL method	Developed in the U.S during war world II people was need to learn foreign language rapidly for military purposes.	New vocabulary and structures are presented through dialogs. The dialogs are learned through imitation and repetition.
Competency based approach	This method was developed primarily for industry. Based on what people were expected to do in work place. Retugee, programs and adult literacy plug.	Basic survival skills such as answering personal information question, use public transportation, obtain food and shelter.
Natural approach	Appeared in book published 1983 theoretial section on second language skill acquisition and section on implementation and classroom procedures .	Conform to the naturalistic principles found in successful second language acquisition skill.
Communicative approach.	When the preparation for communication not will be inadequate enough.	Student use language a great deal through communicative activities such as game, role-plays and problem-solving task.
Silent way	Since people can create expression that they have never heard before, they therefore cannot learn a language simply by repeating what they hear spoken around there.	Study of the language through its basic building blocks, its sound.
Sugestopedia	To help student eliminate the feeling that they can't be successful and to help them overcome the barriers to learning	Conducted in a classroom in which student are as comfortable as possible.
TPR	From observing how children acquire their method tongue (listening comprehension).	Modeling commands to a few student, then performs the action with them.
Direct method	that a foreign language could be taught without translation or the use of the learner's native tongue if meaning was conveyed directly through demonstration and action.	Student need to associate meaning and the target language directly.
